Database Load Distribution Solution

The Challenge:

1. One of our clients was facing issues with high SQL server load on a single server where some of their queries timed out while fetching data.
2. A solution was required as huge volume of data were to be retrieved from the SQL server database.

Solution Delivered:

1. We suggested our client to use linked SQL server database and segregate database tables between these two servers and fetch data from these two servers simultaneously using distributed queries.
2. This helped the client to reduce load on a single server and use power of two servers.
