Case Study: Online Rich Media Services Provider

The Challenge:

1. The client had developed a suite of applications which could be used by leading online portals to display richmedia content (videos, flash banners, animated banners, etc.) on their websites and develop additional revenue streams.
2. The client wanted a redundant hosting solution which would allow them to display their content on their client’s websites and track the no. of impressions for each campaign without any disruption in services.

Solution Delivered:

1. The web servers for the client with a load balanced hosting environment, wherein the client had a cluster of Microsoft 2005 servers behind an enterprise grade dedicated load balancer with a redundant backup load balancer.
2. These servers were located in different datacenters for geographical diversity and multiple DB servers were setup and the DB content was replicated with the backup DB server for full DB redundancy.
3. Content between the web servers was being synchronized periodically on an automated basis and the DNS queries were being cached using a third party distributed DNS provider for quick resolution and redundancy of DNS services.
4. The desired uptime of 100% for the servers, network and DNS services was being delivered as per the client’s requirement over a sustained period of time.
