Secure Hosting for a Global Tour Operator

The Challenge:

1. The client required a high performing redundant server for running their world wide tours operator website where they expected huge hits in their server for online reservations and payments.
2. They had various custom applications for managing customer’s tour planning, enquiries and reservations.
3. The most important part was data security and good disk I/O performance for handling huge access to the website.

Solution Delivered:

1. There website was hosted in a Windows 2008 Enterprise server which has enhanced IIS 7 with many advanced features and security like integrated pipeline mode, Request filtering and URL rewrite embedded in it.
2. A SSL certificate was installed in their server to make the data transactions more secure.
3. The server was equipped with RAID 10 for data redundancy and raptor hard disks which are much faster than normal SATA II hard drives for better disk I/O operations.
4. The FTP access was also made secure by installing Microsoft FTP server 7.5 and enabled SSL over it.
5. The desired result of faster performance with data security and redundancy was achieved as per the customer requirement.
